Sustainability Badge
To further advance Yuexiu Property's “Towards Net Zero” strategy and enhance corporate sustainability level, the Group has established the “Yuexiu Property Sustainability Badge” commendation measures. The commendation aims to encourage and recognize project teams or individuals with outstanding performance in the “Towards Net Zero” initiative, and recognising their outstanding contributions in green building, smart technology applications, low-carbon and environmentally-friendly design, as well as the creation of healthy living spaces. Through this reward mechanism, the Group hopes to motivate more employees to actively participate in the vision of corporate sustainability, drive innovation, enhance the Group’s green value, and ultimately achieve the “Net Zero” goal.

In order to enhance risk management and seize development opportunities, Yuexiu Property has earnestly formulated and disclosed its climate risk response strategies, doubled its efforts to manage and respond to climate change risks, and promptly grasped the opportunities brought by climate change.

Yuexiu Property has incorporated climate change management into the responsibilities of the sustainability governance structure, in line with the International Financial Reporting Sustainability Disclosure Guidelines No. 2 (IFRS S2)--Climate-related Disclosures, and pushed forward climate change-related work through coordination at all levels. Meanwhile, the Climate Change Response Working Group has been established, and the corresponding countermeasures have been formulated based on the identification and analysis of climate-related risks and opportunities.

Natural Resources and Biodiversity Protection

Yuexiu Property actively implements the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework to assess risks and opportunities related to natural resources, enhancing the protection of natural resources, especially in the context of ecological and biodiversity protection during real estate development. Yuexiu Property continuously monitors the risks associated with the quantification of natural resource losses and effectively manages financial risks and opportunities related to natural resources.

In 2024, guided by the TNFD recommended framework, Yuexiu Property completed a biodiversity assessment across its entire value chain and in ten major project cities. At the value chain level, we systematically applied the LEAP methodology to analyse the natural dependencies and impacts of Yuexiu Property over short, medium, and long-term operational cycles. The Company assessed not only the direct ecological footprint of its business activities but also extended the analysis boundary to include the entire lifecycle of upstream and downstream processes. Through a multidimensional analysis, we established a monitoring system encompassing 22 themes of natural dependency and 11 themes of natural impact.

Yuexiu Property deeply practises the fundamental state policy of gender equality, systematically implementing women’s empowerment programmes dedicated to supporting female employees’ career development and leadership advancement. Through establishing professional training platforms, implementing mentorship pairing mechanisms, and ensuring clear pathways for career promotion, the Company creates broad development space and platforms for value realisation for female employees.

Meanwhile, the Company has established a Women Workers Committee under the trade union structure, systematically fulfilling its duty to safeguard the lawful rights and interests of female employees. The committee comprehensively participates in the formulation and revision of corporate policies related to women’s rights, and drives implementation and supervision; it actively attends to the physical and mental health of female workers, organising diverse cultural and sports activities, continuously deepening women’s care and empowerment efforts.

To continuously drive women’s growth, the Company regularly organises women’s leadership seminars and experience-sharing activities, encouraging female employees to actively participate in corporate decision-making and key projects. Insights into ‘Her’ Power — Yuexiu Commercial Management Retail Brand Women’s Salon

On 12 September 2024, the first station of the Yuexiu Commercial Management Retail Brand Salon was successfully held at Guangzhou Mingquanju Hotel, officially launching the 3.0 Strategic Release Conference of Yuexiu Commercial Management Retail Business Brand. The Guangzhou station featured the innovative theme “Elegance for Oneself, Pursuing Success Freely” women’s salon. Female executives from Yuexiu Commercial Management retail business, female entrepreneurs, and female representatives from several mainstream industry media gathered to engage in a deep thought exchange conference on topics such as “Breaking Through Traditional Formats in the New Consumption Revolution” and “Innovative Paths for Emerging Formats”. They discussed the direction for the revitalisation and development of the commercial ecosystem with Yuexiu Commercial Management retail business as the paradigm.

This salon brought together numerous pioneering women, including female founders and female executives from brands such as Sisyphe, Nairbao, Lianxianglou, Hope & Sesame, Scone ING, Levvv and Tangning Books. These female business professionals, who have transitioned from consumers to operators, bring a uniquely female perspective to their roles, offering a more nuanced, profound, and comprehensive understanding of female psychology and preferences. Their management style is characterised by with meticulous attention to detail from a female standpoint.

In October 2024, Yuexiu Property was honoured with the Gold Employer Certification by the Women Workplace Index (WWI), becoming one of only five award-winning companies among more than 250 listed companies in Asia. This accolade recognises the Company’s exemplary practices in gender equality, inclusivity, and diversity in the workplace, highlighting its leadership in promoting sustainable social development.
